Jackets, Why I love them
Fall Staple: Jackets
For this FASHION post I wanted to discuss JACKETS. Fall weather is officially upon us and that means jacket weather. I think my favorite season is the fall. I love all the extra accessories that come with the weather. The boots, sweaters and of course jackets. I love the colors that the trees turn and cliché as it may be; I love all things pumpkin flavored. However, my favorite pumpkin flavored food item is pumpkin pie not a pumpkin spiced latte! I make a killer easy never fail recipe that has become a fan favorite. (Let me know if you are interested in the recipe and I will upload it).
Back to the topic at hand… The reason I love jackets so much is because they are a great transitional piece to take your summer clothes with you into the cooler months. You can take a light summer flowy dress and put a jacket on top and Voilà you now have a fabulous fall outfit.
Jackets come in many different verities, in my last post I discussed denim jackets, if you missed it, you can read it here. A black leather jacket is something I believe to be worth investing in. Black like denim goes with almost everything but it provides more insulation for the colder days than denim and it has a cooler vibe.
I recently purchased a light blue leather jacket as seen in the pictures and I absolutely love it. As many of you may know my favorite color is blue so it was a perfect staple piece to add to my wardrobe. Tan or taupe is a great color as well because it can be parried with many different outfits.
When I am deciding if I want to purchase a jacket, I generally think about the layering options and how much use I will get out of it. If it’s a pure style piece then I personally don’t feel like it is worth investing in something expensive. Same goes if it’s a super trendy.
