Hey! That is a great question! I have visited Italy in the past and it was amazing but definitely not relaxing. It is what I call a trip, as apposed to a vacation. It is possible to relax in Italy, you can go to the Amalphi Coast and relax. But, when you are going to a new country like Italy you will be doing things and trying to be as active as you can to see as much as possible. Because who knows when you will be back. If you are truly looking for a vacation, I would suggest Hawaii. You can still explore and do things on the island, but it will be more catered to relaxation. I hope this was helpful! Thanks for the tips! Need to plan a much needed vacation! I wanted to go somewhere to just relax and Zika free so I was thinking Hawaii. Our friends are big travelers and they want us to join their trip in Italy. Italy however is going to be a more active trip as opposed to just relaxing. Italy is one of my favorite countries so still debating if I want to join them since they know their way around and are good at planning itineraries or pass up the opportunity and go to Hawaii.
